Yes — most window films slightly reduce natural light depending on the type. Frosted films allow high light transmission, while solar and mirror films reduce more light along with heat and glare.
One-way mirror (reflective) film provides daytime privacy by reflecting external light. It works when the outside is brighter than the inside. At night, when interior lights are on and the outside is darker, the effect reverses — so it does not provide privacy after dark. For round-the-clock privacy, frosted film is a better choice.
Most window films are compatible with standard single and double-glazed glass. Some darker or highly reflective films may not be suitable for certain types of double glazing due to heat build-up risk. Our team will assess your glass type before recommending the appropriate film.

Safety & security film does not make glass unbreakable, but it holds shattered glass together on impact, significantly reducing the risk of injury from flying shards and making forced entry much harder. It is certified to relevant safety standards and is suitable for both homes and commercial premises.
Installation time varies based on the number of windows and film type. A typical residential job can take as little as a couple of hours; larger commercial projects may span a full day or more. We'll give you a realistic time estimate at the quoting stage and schedule at a time that suits you to minimise disruption.
When installed correctly by a professional, window film will not damage glass or frames. Our team uses industry-best tools and precision application techniques. Film is applied to the interior surface and can be removed without leaving permanent marks if ever required.
After installation, film requires a curing period of typically 2–4 weeks depending on climate and film type. During this time, you may notice small water bubbles or a slight haze — this is completely normal and will disappear as the adhesive fully bonds to the glass.

Applying window film is a manageable DIY task with the right preparation. The key steps are thoroughly cleaning the glass, applying the film wet (using soapy water), and smoothing out air bubbles with a squeegee. We recommend watching installation guidance videos before you start. For best results on large or complex windows, professional installation is always an option.
Measure the width and height of the glass panel (not the frame) in millimetres. If you have multiple panes within one window frame, measure each pane individually. It's good practice to add a few millimetres to each dimension — film can be trimmed after application for a perfect fit.
