STOP HARMFUL UV RAYS
UV PROTECTION WINDOW FILMS
RECOMMENDED BY SKIN CANCER FOUNDATION
FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
UVA rays streaming through your home windows not only adversely affect your furnishings. People are also exposed to ambient solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation throughout their daily routine, intentionally and unintentionally. Cumulative and excessive exposure to UV radiation is the behavioral cause to skin cancers, skin damage, premature skin aging, and sun-related eye disorders.
The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends window tint as part of a comprehensive sun protection program.
Used by Windeco – LLumar UV window film carries The Skin Cancer Seal of Recommendation. The seal is awarded to products that protect against skin cancer, like sunscreens.
High Quality Window Film, installed by professionals can help block up to 99% of harmful UV rays and provide a long-term solution to prevent the occurrence of skin cancer.
UV is Not the Only Cause of Damage
OTHER REASONS OF FADING
There are lots of misconceptions about what causes furniture fading. So, what actually causes furniture to fade?
Testing and science have shown that ultraviolet light only makes up about 40 percent of the cause of furniture fading. This is the most harmful part of sunlight, and it certainly speeds along the fading process.
In addition to UV rays, visible light makes up about 25 percent of the cause of fading.
Solar heat also causes furniture to fade. It makes up another 25 percent of the cause.
Some factors making up remaining 10 percent include interior lighting, humidity, pollutants, and the stability and quality of the dyes and your furniture, itself.
While no window films or any other window tinting or covering can completely stop fading, we suggest a film that reduces uv, heat and light and as clear as possible at the same time.
